Raising the visibility, voices, and training for women in tech.

WIFV is proud to serve as a sponsor for #GALSNGEAR, a pop-up event that amplifies and supports women in the technical fields of film and screen media through opportunities for speaking, training and networking. Founded and led by WIFV Past President and Current Advisory Council Member Amy DeLouise, #GALSNGEAR has offered expert industry panels, networking events and training opportunities for women since 2016. With 90,000 attendees and vendors from every facet of production, NAB was a natural partner for our first outing of this venture to connect women working in the trenches of media production to the best creative tools for filmmaking.” The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) is a lead partner for #GALSNGEAR, along with Broadcast Beat, and WIFV corporate members Blackmagic Design, Adobe, Dolby and Fox Fury Lighting.

#GALSNGEAR has placed more than 85 women on high visibility panels, including many members of WIFV. At NAB Show in Las Vegas, the largest media, distributor and content creator gathering in the industry with more than 90,000 attendees, #GALSNGEAR has featured panels, camera demonstrations, gear giveaways, and networking events. Even during the COVID-19 crisis, #GALSNGEAR has supported industry women leaders in our Tech Talks panel during NAB SHOW Express online.

WIFV has provided a range of #GALSNGEAR hands-on camera, lighting, editing, animation, and sound workshops in DC.
