Washington-DC based Pennies Pictures has finished its second narrative short, EXCUSE ME, and is now submitting it to festivals. The film was awarded the WIFV Narrative Short Film Finishing Grant in 2024, and the script was a finalist in the WIFV Narrative Short Screenplay contest in 2023. Several WIFV members took park in the production, including Writer-Producer Mary Beth Warner, Producer Bernhard Streitwieser, Actor Laureen E. Smith, Hair and Makeup Artist Ludi Moreira, Script Supervisor Kathleen Strouse, and Assistant Camera and Grip, Kat Vivaldi. The film was directed by Lena Streitwieser, whose earlier short, GRAVESTONES, opened the DC Student Film Fest. The cinematographer was Robert Lodge.
