WIFV Roundtable Groups allow members to connect in a more meaningful way with each other around special interests, location, or member type, and each has a topic-specific listserv. WIFV members are automatically affiliated with Women in Film and Television International (WIFTI) and Women in Film and Television US (WIFT-US). Join a Committee. WIFV has six regular committees and several subcommittees you can join to help with our strategic planning and program delivery.
Communications – Educates the public about WIFV through media relations, publicity, and promotion of WIFV events. Also produces a weekly podcast, Media & Monuments, which is a resource for screen-based media makers.
Development & Fundraising – Ensures the viability of WIFV with fundraising efforts and events.
Membership & Engagement – Participates in recruiting, retaining, and engaging WIFV members.
Women of Vision Awards – Helps plan celebrations of women’saccomplishments in media.
Mentorship – Provides one-on-one mentoring opportunities for WIFV members seeking professional development coaching and support.
Programming – Takes part in planning and promoting WIFV’s educational events, workshops, seminars, and executive programs.

Reach out to the community. The Kids World Film Festival visits fifth-grade classrooms to provide media literacy training and then empowers the students to be critical thinkers at an international shorts film festival.

  • Sign up online.
  • Call the WIFV Office (202.429.9438) to have an application sent to you.
  • Attend an event and fill out an application onsite and we’ll waive the processing fee, plus you’ll receive the discounted member price for the event.
